Barbara Castor

I have always loved houses. My father and grandfather were in construction and I was lucky enough to become a ‘homeowner’ before I was in kindergarten. That first playhouse was just the beginning. I discovered caring for and designing a home was second nature.

After graduating from college with my Interior Design degree, I married my husband and we bought our first home. We completely updated our little house and gained skills and sweat equity by doing so. We fell into a pattern of buying, remodeling, and then renting our homes as we moved on to our next project. I worked in Design but real estate and remodeling had become such a big part of our lives that managing everything became my job. I met some great people along the way and was lucky enough to be offered a position as Broker’s Assistant to an amazing realtor. I ended up working for her and a few other realtors for several years. It was a great way to gain valuable experience while maintaining a great work/life balance as we raised our young family.

I began working as an agent myself in 2013 and in 2015 I met Dave Axness. I transferred my license to Axness & Kofman and it has been a great fit. I am proud to work for a company that values integrity and puts our clients first. We offer a high level of service and I enjoy contributing my Design experience to stage homes for sale.
